When love meets the city, magic happens. Claire and Craig’s couples shoot in Digbeth, Birmingham was a celebration of fun, colour, and connection — proof that urban backdrops can be just as romantic as wild landscapes.
When we think of love stories, we often picture wild fields and golden sunsets — but sometimes, the magic lives right in the middle of the city. For Claire and Craig, Digbeth in Birmingham was the perfect backdrop for their fun, carefree couples shoot.
They wanted something that felt real — no stiff poses, no fancy gowns, just the two of them, laughing, exploring, and soaking up the day together. And honestly? That’s where the best photos always come from.

We started our shoot in the heart of Digbeth, surrounded by bold graffiti, colourful walls, and the hum of city life. The sun was out (a rare treat in the UK!), bouncing off the murals and giving everything this warm, creative glow. Claire and Craig leaned right into it — dancing in front of street art, holding hands as they wandered through hidden corners, and laughing every time a passer-by cheered them on.

As the day shifted into evening, the vibe changed with it. Digbeth’s festoon lights flickered to life, wrapping the streets in that soft, romantic glow that makes you want to slow down and just be. The golden hour wasn’t your typical countryside sunset — the tall buildings stole most of the light — but it created something even more interesting. The light filtered through narrow streets and bounced off brick walls, wrapping the couple in this dreamy, urban haze.

Claire and Craig were completely in the moment — no pressure, no performance. Just two people in love, exploring the city and having fun with it. That’s the beauty of a couples shoot like this. You get to press pause on the everyday, try something new together, and end up with photos that actually feel like you.

If you’re planning your engagement session and want something a little different, Digbeth is such a brilliant choice. It’s full of colour, texture, and personality — and every corner tells a story. Whether you’re drawn to its creative energy, its moody brick backdrops, or the way the lights glow at dusk, this area has a way of bringing out the authentic, playful side of every couple.

For us, it’s not about perfect poses or pristine locations — it’s about capturing that real connection, that spark that’s completely yours. And in the middle of Digbeth, surrounded by street art and city sounds, Claire and Craig gave us exactly that: love, laughter, and a reminder that sometimes the most beautiful moments happen in the most unexpected places.
